My Beginnings….

As a play therapist and psychotherapist, I reach children and adults in a variety of ways including through the natural language of play, sandtray and expressive therapies. I became a Registered Play Therapist in August 2019.

I am the founder and owner of Mending Hearts Counseling Center, a vision that I have had since beginning my journey in counseling in 2013. I provide mental health services to children, adolescents, and adults. In my free time I enjoy camping, traveling and spending time with my family. I have been a resident of Sylvania for 30 years and look forward to helping the community and surrounding communities to be a better place.

I graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education in 2001. I earned my Master of Arts degree in Counselor Education from the CACREP accredited program at the University of Toledo in December 2015. I began my counseling career in 2013 while interning at Behavioral Connections of Wood County. I have worked at A Renewed Mind in the School Based Counseling Program and at Harbor Behavioral Health in an office based setting working with children through adults.

My vision of Mending Hearts Counseling Center became reality in the Fall 2018, and opened the practice doors in July 2019. I have a passion to help others who are looking for someone to guide them through difficulties whether for themselves, their child or their family. When life is difficult, families are challenging and everything in between I am here to help guide you on the path. Call me today for a consultation or assessment (419) 458-3030!
